La Vraie Croix

Lestroue lies just outside the beautiful village of La Vraie Croix a ‘Village fleurie’, which means it is decorated from top to bottom with stunning floral displays all summer long.
The village has a bakers, two restaurants, bars and a creperie.
It is an excellent area for walking and cycling, both on and off road.

Questembert

Questembert is a market town, just a five minute drive away. It has a weekly market held in its 16th century market hall. It has three large supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and bars.
For the energetic, keen on cycling, walking etc, discover ‘La Voie Verte’ – a 56 km traffic free route from Questembert to Mauron.


Vannes

Wander through the cobbled streets of Vannes (15 minutes) an historic city rich in history, with its ramparts and timbered buildings. Take time to enjoy a refreshment at one of the pavement cafes/ restaurant’s surrounding the port.

Other towns nearby well worth a visit are Rochefort-en-Terre a ‘Petite Cite de Caractere’ due to its fascinating 16th – 18th century architecture. The medieval town of Malestroit built on the banks of the River Ouest. The magnificent medieval town of Guerande, a maze of winding cobbled streets inside the walled city. Visit the galleries that display local arts and crafts, pottery and paintings.


The Coast

Lestroue is ideally situated for beach lovers being only 20 minutes to the wonderful coastline with its numerous beaches, resorts and world famous oyster beds.
Take a boat trip and explore one of the many islands in the Gulf of Morbihan or simply visit one of the many superb seafood restaurants dotted around the coastline.
